Celebrating Culture, Farming & Sustainability
Chingam 1 marks the beginning of a new agricultural year—a time to celebrate our connection with the land, farming traditions, and the hopes of a new harvest.
In the lush organic paddy fields of Kokkozhi, Wayanad, the traditional Kambala Natti Ulsavam brought together farmers, tribal communities, students, volunteers, and the wider community to celebrate the beginning of the paddy planting season.
The celebration beautifully blended traditional paddy planting, music, dance, prayers, community participation, and respect for nature, keeping Wayanad’s rich agricultural heritage alive.
As part of the My India Healthy India Campaign and Aster Green Choice Initiative, Aster Volunteers of Dr. Moopen’s Medical College, in association with Dr. Moopen’s Nursing College, NSS Unit, State Agricultural Department, OISCA International – Kalpetta Chapter, and Pada Shekhara Samithi – Kokkozhi, organized Kambala Natti Ulsavam 2026.
