World Diabetes Day Trekking Event at Chembra Peak

On the occasion of World Diabetes Day, and in alignment with its mission to promote diabetes awareness and healthy lifestyle practices, Aster Volunteers of Dr. Moopen’s Medical College, in association with the Yatna College Union of MBBS Students, Dr. Moopen’s Nursing College NSS Unit, and the Kerala Forest Department, organized an exciting trekking event to one of the highest peaks in Wayanad — Chembra Peak, standing at an elevation of about 6,890 feet above sea level.

The trekking was flagged off by Dean Dr. A.P. Kammath,Dr. Amarpaali-Head Of the Department OBG and Mr. Sahadevan, SFO, Meppadi Range, Kerala Forest Division, in the presence of other dignitaries.

The initiative aimed to inspire students and the public to embrace physical activity as a key component of a healthy lifestyle and diabetes prevention.
