Spreading Joy with Smile 8.0

Aster Volunteers of Dr. Moopen’s Medical College, in association with Family Wedding Center, Meppadi, successfully organized Smile 8.0—a heartfelt initiative under the Joy Giving Initiative to bring happiness to children in need.

The event was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Elizabeth Joseph, in the presence of Prof. Lida Antony, Principal of Dr. Moopen’s Nursing College. A total of 67 children from orphaned and underprivileged backgrounds, including 18 migrant children from Assam, had the joy of selecting their own outfits for Eid, Vishu, and Easter.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our beloved Executive Trustee, Mr. U. Basheer, for his unwavering support and guidance. Special thanks to Mr. Soopy Kallangodan and Dr. Shanavas Palliyal for their encouragement.

A big thanks to our CSR Head, Mr. Jaleel P.A., for generously supporting 20 children and for sending his daughter, Dr. Faizah Jaleel, as a volunteer for this noble initiative.

Special appreciation to the dedicated volunteers and the students of Dr. Moopen’s Nursing College and NSS Unit for their incredible efforts—treating these children like their own siblings and making them feel truly loved. Your kindness and compassion created 67 beautiful smiles! 💙✨
